The great reputation of the Ribera del Duero D.O. wines is largely due to the first brand names and wineries which, in the early 1980`s, gave their wholehearted support to this area as a great producer of red and rosé wines.

These were the forerunners of the more than 170 wineries which now make up the Denomination, with their drive and forward looking approach.
