FROM THE VINE TO PEAK: TAKING WINE TO THE EXTREME

Join Ray O’Connor MW for an exclusive wine tasting lunch this July, 1 - 3pm (arrival drinks from 12:30pm), to discover 9 exceptional wines from Ribera del Duero alongside a selection of mouthwatering dishes from Vinoteca's modern European menu. 
 
The session will open with an introduction to the region including its unique terroirs, grapes, climate, styles and winemaking expertise, before exploring the impact of the region’s altitude on the winemaking process and the resulting wines.

Do increased UV rays affect colour concentration and tannins of the grapes? How does diurnal range affect ripening and acidity levels? What is the effect on winemakers, vines and the resulting product, of cultivating grapes from 720 - 1,000 metres above sea level…are just some of the questions that will be covered off.
